Human beings are the dominant race of the Human Republic and possibly the entire World.
Biology
Humans are erect, bipedal, eukaryotic, and vary greatly in physical appearance. Human appereance is divided into five ethnic groups. These are white, black, yellow, brown, and red. It is theorized that they are so diverse due to their wandering and curious spirit. According to evolutionary theory, humans evolved from apes. Somewhere along the line, the line of heredity split, humans evolving for life above ground, dwarves for caves and underground life.
History and Culture
In the beginning, there were seven human nations on the continent of Sapios. Estherfield (a noble forest kingdom) , Kiri(marauding vikings) , Mobutshu (savannah tribe), Sajii (desert nomads) , Changxian (jungle and mountain empire), Los Zingos (tropical builders of pyramids), and Hepotaw (tribes of the plains, forests, and tundra). These groups were in constant war with eachother for centuries. In the year 734, King Earl Grey of Estherfield formed an alliance with the Kiri, and formed the Estherkiri Empire. They conquered the Sajii, Mobutshu, and Hepotaw.
In 1012, the Estherkiri made contact with the Dwarven tribe of Ironclad.The Estherkiri gave the dwarves money, education, culture, and ideals. The dwarves gave the Estherkiri iron, gunpowder, coal, and other resources. With these tools, nothing stopped the Estherkiri from conquering all other human empires in the wars waged from 1110 to 1202.
In 1379, the Estherkiri Empire experienced revolution. The people had had enough of monarchies, and they wanted change. The War for Democracy was waged, and many lives were lost. The sacrifice was not in vein, for in 1401, the Human Republic was formed.
Each of the former empires had their own culture, and they survive to this day. While the Estherfield culture is obviously dominant, the other cultures thrive in communities closer to their original homelands.
